frequently asked questions

What exactly does The Aesthetic Vitality offer? The Aesthetic Vitality is a concierge wellness consultation service specializing in precision-guided nutraceutical strategy and clinical assessment. Our work begins with an in-home, in-person evaluation and laboratory analysis to design individualized supplement regimens. We do not provide meal plans, fitness coaching, or cosmetic treatments. Are supplements really effective if they’re not FDA-regulated like medications?Dietary supplements are regulated by the FDA under the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act (DSHEA), which differs from pharmaceutical drug regulation. While supplements are not approved to diagnose or treat disease, many vitamins, minerals, and bioactive compounds are extensively studied in peer-reviewed literature for their roles in metabolic, endocrine, and cellular function. Our recommendations are based on biochemical mechanisms, clinical data, and laboratory findings—not marketing claims. How is this different from advice I could get at a vitamin store?Retail supplement recommendations are typically product-driven and generalized. Our approach is assessment-driven and physiology-specific, informed by laboratory data, clinical observation, medication review, and pattern recognition. Recommendations are selected to avoid duplication, excess, or interactions, and are dosed intentionally—not generically. If medications come from plants, why not just use drugs instead of supplements?Pharmaceuticals are designed to exert targeted, high-potency effects and are often indicated when disease is present. Nutraceuticals support underlying biochemical pathways and nutrient sufficiency, which may be altered by medications, aging, stress, or lifestyle. Our role is not to replace medications, but to support physiology and nutrient status where appropriate, often alongside existing medical care. Can supplements be dangerous?Yes—when used improperly. Excess dosing, duplication, fat-soluble vitamin accumulation, mineral overload, and drug–nutrient interactions are real concerns. That is why our process includes a comprehensive intake, medication and supplement review, laboratory assessment, and ongoing follow-up. Precision and restraint are central to our philosophy.Do you replace my doctor or pharmacist? No. The Aesthetic Vitality does not diagnose or treat disease and does not replace medical care. We encourage collaboration with a client’s healthcare providers and can securely share consultation summaries upon request. Our role is complementary and wellness-focused.Why is an initial consultation required?Because meaningful, safe, and effective recommendations cannot be made without understanding your physiology, laboratory data, medications, and goals. Follow-up sessions are designed for maintenance and refinement—not discovery. How often should I schedule follow-up sessions?Follow-up sessions are recommended to refine your supplement regimen as your body responds and laboratory markers change. Most clients benefit from at least three follow-up sessions to allow for thoughtful adjustments, monitoring of response, and optimization over time. A comprehensive reassessment is required annually to ensure recommendations remain appropriate, accurate, and aligned with your current health status.Do you sell supplements? No. We do not manufacture or sell supplements. Clients may purchase recommended products from brands of their choosing and are free to use alternatives, provided dosing guidance is followed. What about IV therapy?IV therapy is optional and not administered by The Aesthetic Vitality. We may provide IV formulation and protocol guidance as an advanced complement to a supplement regimen. Administration is performed by independent licensed medical providers of the client’s choosing. Why is your service in-home?In-home care allows for discretion, efficiency, and a more comprehensive clinical experience—without sacrificing rigor. It removes logistical barriers while maintaining intentional, assessment-driven care.Is this evidence-based?Yes. Our recommendations are grounded in biochemistry, physiology, and peer-reviewed research, interpreted through laboratory data and clinical context. Evidence informs decisions; individual physiology guides implementation.Who is this service best suited for?Individuals seeking intentional, precision-guided self-care—especially those managing busy schedules, complex supplementation histories, or a desire for data-driven wellness without lifestyle coaching or unnecessary interventions.
